Municipal Drains

Municipal drains are drainage systems established under Ontario's Drainage Act to help manage the flow of water and improve drainage for agricultural lands, roads, and other properties. The Municipality of Morris-Turnberry is responsible for administering municipal drains in accordance with the Drainage Act, including overseeing their construction, maintenance, repair, and improvement. The costs of this work are generally shared among the properties that benefit from the drainage system, as determined through a process established by the Act.
