SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT DECLARATION
Morris-Turnberry has declared a SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT in Morris-Turnberry due to equipment break downs and the forecast and occurring blowing and accumulating snow, under Ontario Regulation 239/02 (Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways). The declaration of SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT begins at 10:23 on 28-Nov-2025 and continues until further notice. Users of Morris-Turnberry Roads are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to use caution if doing so.
The Municipality of Morris-Turnberry wishes to note that the declaration of a significant weather event is not notice of a reduced level of service or a road closure. The declaration is to notify the public that due to the current or forecasted conditions and critical pieces of winter maintenance equipment currently out of service that the expected levels of service may not be achievable. Caution is to be observed when travelling on Morris-Turnberry Roads and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads back to a state of repair.
