KEY INFORMATION FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTORS IN THE 

MUNICIPALITY OF MORRIS-TURNBERRY 

Regarding the 2026 Municipal Elections

 

     Notice is hereby given to the Electors of the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry that an Election will be        held for the following offices:

 Councillors:

Four(4) to be elected

  1. Terry ‘Sumo’ Brighton
  2. Kevin Freiburger
  3. David B. Heffer
  4. Mike Miller
  5. Dana Weber

Mayor – Jamie Heffer has been declared Acclaimed.

     Notice is hereby given to the Electors of the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry that a School Board              Election will be held for the following offices:

English Separate School Board Trustee (Huron Perth Catholic District School Board Trustee) representing Morris-Turnberry, Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, Central Huron, Goderich, Howick, and North Huron.

  1. Alanna Fitzpatrick
  2. Nickolas Vaessen

Patricia Smith has been declared Acclaimed to the position of Trustee for the Avon Maitland District School Board (representing Morris-Turnberry, Howick and North Huron)

Rachid Barrima has been declared Acclaimed to the position of Trustee for the French Public School Board – Conseil Scolaire Viamonde (representing Huron, Perth, Waterloo, Wellington and Middlesex)

Michael Salvatore has been declared Acclaimed to the position of Trustee for the French Separate School Board – Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence (representing Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey and Lambton)

INTERNET/TELEPHONE VOTING

Electors in the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry will be voting by internet and/or telephone, in the 2026 municipal election.  There will be no paper ballot.

A Voter Information Letter will be mailed to you directly, in the month of October, providing you with a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which will allow you to vote 24 hours a day for 7 days between October 13th – 26th, from any telephone or any device connected to the internet. 

If access to a telephone or internet connection is unavailable to you, a Voter Help Centre will be provided with telephone and internet access during the voting period at the Municipal office. Contact the Municipal office for  dates and times of operation. 

Proof of identity and residence is required in the following instances:

  • when adding or deleting your name from the Voters’ List 
  • when correcting your information on the Voters’ List
  • when re-issuing, activating or deactivating a PIN
  • when swearing an oath 

Voter Help Centre Location and Hours

Municipality of Morris-Turnberry Municipal Office – 41342 Morris Road, Brussels

  • Tuesday October 13th from 9:00am to 4:30pm
  • Weekdays from Wednesday October 14th to Friday October 23rd during regular office hours (8:30am to 4:30pm)
  • Monday October 26th between the hours of 10:00am until 8:00pm
